Transformation Advisors, Inc., was formed in 1999 by Pam Millard and Diane
Herbert,
building on a 20-year tradition of providing quality management consulting
to the insurance industry.
Pam
has been working one-on-one with independent agents
helping them identify
opportunities and solve business problems since 1985.
In
addition to working individually with hundreds of agencies,
Pam was managing director of the Agency
Consulting group for CNA for over ten years. Under
Pam’s leadership, the consulting organization
developed and presented various agency management
workshops including Strategic Planning, Managing
Agency Financials, Agency Operations Management,
Agency Compensation, Mergers, Acquisitions and Perpetuation,
Managing Personal Lines, Building a Profitable Small
Commercial Department. Pam now brings this expertise
to your business.
Pam actively participated
in the development of the ACORD POWER of Change
program
and has conducted numerous
group and individual sessions with agencies. One
agent’s response: "Thank you very much
for the great training class. Your contribution to
our agency will be truly transformative for us."
As
a member of the IIAA Commission to Enhance Agency
Value, she worked with other agency and company
members to develop the IIAA Joint Agency/Company
Planning
Tool.
Pam lead the agency side of
CNA’s Personal
Lines Agency Company Efficiency Study (PLACES) and
the Commercial Lines Agency Company Economic Study
(ACES). For many years, Pam worked closely with CNA’s
agency council. She also guided many of CNA’s
Upload and Download efforts from an agency perspective.
Pam
joined CNA in 1965. Prior to moving to the Home
Office she held staff and management positions in
the Minneapolis and Denver branches of CNA. She
began
her insurance career in an independent insurance
agency in St. Paul.
Pam has a Bachelor of Arts
degree in communications from North Central College
and
did post graduate
work at the University of Chicago School of Business.
She earned the CPCU designation in 1988. Pam
lives in Diamond Springs, California, in the heart
of
gold country.
Diane continues to keep
an eye on the business but has retired (mostly)
from active consulting.
Since initially becoming an agency
management consultant in 1983, Diane Herbert helped
more than 300 independent insurance agencies be the
best they can be--helping them improve all aspects
of their businesses from finding and keeping great
employees, strategic planning, benchmarking, organizational
design, workflow redesign, compensation planning,
sales management, perpetuation planning and more.
Diane brings a down to earth, practical
approach to her work, recognizing that each agency
is different.
No two have the exact same set of goals and objectives
or marketplace. The key is for each agency to understand
who they are, where they are in relationship to
where they want to go and then build off that understanding
to continuously improve their organization.
As one
agency stated, "The process Diane led
us through is very powerful. We gained better usage
of our time. In addition, our productivity and revenue
per employee have both gone up. As a bonus, it has
made it easier for us to do business with our customers."
Diane
has developed and presented many agency management
workshops on a variety of topics including Strategic
Planning, POWER of Change, Maximizing Agency Value,
Managing Personal Lines, and Organizing to Sell.
Before
establishing Transformation Advisors, Inc., in 1999,
Diane was an agency management consultant
at CNA. In addition to agency consulting, Diane played
a major role in CNA’s Personal Lines Agency
Company Efficiency Study (PLACES), the Commercial
Lines Agency Company Economic Study (ACES), and the
company's small commercial lines initiatives.
Prior
to joining CNA, Diane was a sales representative
and marketing support specialist for an office
automation vendor. She attended Eastern Michigan
University.
Diane
lives in Fort Myers, Florida.
